Today’s topic is “6 things you love or hate about spending time with your or your significant other’s relatives.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .
This is hard and simple all at the same time. I love both sides and have things that drive me nuts. As I am sure most of you feel the same way.
1. I dislike how my Aunt always knows how to turn a family event in disaster when she shows up. She is a very unhappy person.
2. I love the fact that both sets of parents love their grandchildren unconditionally.
3. It would be nice if both sets of parents could tolerate being in the same room for holidays.
4. I hate the alternating thing for holidays – one year at the inlaws, one year at my parents. I wish we could all just wing it.
5. I hate that for Christmas that I am expected to pack up the 7 of us to go elsewhere instead of the two of them coming to us.
6. I love my family and know they love us!
Now go post your own list on your blog (don’t forget to grab a button) and then leave the direct link to your post on Mr. Linky. Then go check out everyone else’s Small Talk Six lists and leave them a comment so they know you stopped by. If for some reason Mr. Linky isn’t there, just leave your links within a comment.
Wow, I have to say that choosing a winner was extremely tough for my judges. I so appreciate their help immensely. There are so many that deserve this stroller and I so wish I have several to give to all of you.
So now on to announcing the winner:
While I’d love to enter for myself I know that I would pass it on to my sister anyways.
Four years ago at the age of 13 months my nephew had an accident that has left him with brain damage. He was left with no ability to speak or walk and no hopes of either happening. He does have a wheelchair but can only sit in it for short time frames as he looses circulation in his legs. We bought them a Maclaren but that was recalled. Bobby is in desperate need of a stroller that will handle his weight as well as allow him to recline. Unfortunately this just isn’t possible in most strollers as companies are seem to be of the opinion that an older child would not want to lie down.
You have won – One single Bumbleride Indie Stroller. You should receive an email from me. You have 48hrs to claim your prize (Mon, Dec 14, 2009 930am EST).

So when we got the chance to review the newest DS game – Littlest Pet Shop Friends (It’s time to hit the town! Explore new worlds, customize accessories, and enjoy awesome mini-games, and collect six EXCLUSIVE city pets with LITTLEST PET SHOP City Friends!) – I jumped at it right away. My girls are 4yo (almost 5) and 6.5yo. My 4yo needs help to play because reading is involved but for the most part she has a good memory and usually knows what to do by just looking at what is going on. This game is great at helping my 6yo with her reading.

I don’t normally pass along stuff like this but with the holidays here and with alot of us making purchases online I thought it was important for all of you to have this information.
Epson America, Inc. is the U.S. affiliate of Japan-based Seiko Epson Corporation, a global technology company at the forefront of technological revolutions in imaging, robotics, precision machinery and electronics. Epson offers an extensive array of award-winning image capture and image output products for the consumer, photographic, business and graphic arts markets. The company is also a leading supplier of value-added point-of-sale (POS) printers and transaction terminals for the retail market. Founded in 1975, Epson America Inc. is headquartered in Long Beach, California.
I have tried many printers and the one thing that I have discovered is that printers are not all alike. Epson offers a wide range of options for the personal homeowner to home business to big business. I received an Epson Workforce 310 All-in-One Printer to review. This printer is great for the person that works from home. When I received this printer I had just started a job where having a fax is a must. I send faxes and I receive faxes from my work on a daily basis. I am very impressed with all of its capabilities. Check out the printers specifications below.
I have been using this printer for over a month and I definitely recommend this printer for all who are looking for an inexpensive printer that does it all. It is not too loud when printing and it is quite quick as well. The average retail price for the Epson Workforce 310 is $129.99. Very affordable! I am impressed with Epson and they are wonderful to work with as well. One thing you need to know is that the ink cartridges last a long time. This is a great feature of Epson printers.
Things Remembered began over 40 years ago as a small engraving and services shop called “Can Do”. And today, Things Remembered has grown into the nation’s leading, and most successful, retailer of personalized gifts. We’re proud of our longevity in the retail business and we are committed to continue to offer beautiful, unique, quality, personalized gifts to our customers.
Around Christmas time I am always looking for something new and different to give family. I am tired of giving the same old stuff. I love things that are unique and personal. I was given a wonderful opportunity to do a review for Things Remembered CustomCouture Collection. I received a simply gorgeous birthstone charm necklace with an engraved sterling silver heart. I decided to personalize this for my children to give to their Nana. As you can see by the picture to the right – it is a beautiful piece of jewelry. I know Nana is going to love it. So stay tuned to an updated review on her response. As for my opinion – I love it! The silver is so bright. When not wearing the necklace there is an adorable little pink pouch to put the heart in to protect it from tarnishing and then you can put the entire necklace in the black pouch provided. There are many charms to choose from such as birthstone charms (as pictured), letter initial charms and other various charms (i.e. cross, butterfly, pearl and more).
Things Remembered offers many other wonderful gifts for men, women, family and more. Prices vary and there is something for all budgets. You can not go wrong and there is always some beautiful keepsake for that hard to buy for person. So go and check out Things Remembered today. There is still time to order for Christmas.
Prize: 1 lucky reader will win an Things Remembered of their choice!!!
