(ENDED) Honey Kix Cereal Review and Giveaway

honey_kixCereal is a basic staple in my home. It is not only for breakfast but sometimes for lunch, dinner or a snack. We often have 5-10 different cereals at an one given time. So I am always looking for cereal that is good for you an tasty. Cereal has to go through two tests in my home – my approval (first) and then the approval of my kids (second).

General Mills Kix is one of my all time favorite cereal. My kids will eat it with or without milk. I am also excited to discover that Kix is also soy free. So when General Mills came out with the new Honey Kix I was very excited.

My Blog Spark sent me this wonderful gift set below:

Honey_Kix-Small

As far as taste goes Honey Kix was good but not great. I would have loved to see more of a honey taste. I love the original Kix better. Would I buy Honey Kix? Yes! I liked it enough and my children also liked it enough as well.

win-win-win

I simplify our mornings by planning breakfast ahead of time. It’s usually a whole-grain cereal (hot or cold, depending on the season), fruit juice, yogurt and whole-grain toast with home-made preserves.

We’re actually pretty good in the mornings. We prep everything–and I mean everything–the night before. Clothes, socks, underwear, lunches, backpacks, what’s-for-breakfast, etc. There are NO changes allowed in the AM, and the TV goes on when everything necessary is finished. Works pretty well!

  108. Denise B.
    #108

I’m a stay-at-home mother who homeschools. So, mornings are casual, and I don’t have to prep or worry about what we’ll eat for breakfast. Whatever we’re in the mood for is breakfast. When breakfast is over, we start our day with whatever needs to be done.

We buy or make ahead and freeze waffles, french toast or waffles.
So all they have to do is pop them into the microwave and a fast way to have breakfast on the go. My 17 year old daughter even takes them to school to eat between her class breaks.
My grandson is coming to visit he would love the prize as he likes bees, and honey and what a great way to take cereal on the go with the on the go container which would be perfect since my husbands favorite snack is cereal which he likes to take to work.

    Thank you
