Our Health Insurance
I am going to vent a little about our health insurance. It is through my husbands employer. It is such cheap insurance. I have chronic health problems and need to see certain doctors and have blood work from time to time to keep all in check. Well, with our current insurance we have high copays and we have to pay 20% of everything done (x-rays, labwork, etc). I have to always second guess everthing that is needed to be done. No one should ever have to worry about their health care coverage. Totally not fair. At least my children have MIChild insurance and I dont’ need to worry about them. Thanks for listening and if any of you have some alternatives or maybe places to go for help with medications in Michigan I would love to hear them.

Oh this is a sore spot with me. My husband is self employed. We pay over a thousand a month. With this economy he has next to no work…I don’t know what we are going to do. Something has to be done about the health care system and insurance. Wish I could offer some advice, but I’m in New Jersey.

I know exactly how you feel. I used to have that type of insurance and with all of my health issues after having children we racked up a bill of 30 grand in two years. My health has crippled us financially and I used to cry all the time over it. If you have Keiser in your state they have been a savior to us. There is a deductable plan but its very small and then you just pay co pays. I have been to the doctor a ton this year and have only spent a grand in stead of the thousands that it would have been for all the blood work and doctors visits with the other insurance.
