Kids love color! Try serving them several types of fruit in one bowl to keep them interest. Serve with yogurt, pudding or mini muffins. Try a little whipped cream and they are hooked.

Fruit Kebabs: Try using cut pieces of their favorite fruits. Alternate with cut pieces of mini muffins. Make the kebabs mini size. They will feel like they are eating more and you will be happy.

Fruit Bowl: Cut a cantalope in half and take out the seeds/filling. Then fill up the ‘bowl’ with a few varieties fo fruit. Top with yogurt, chocolate, whipped cream, etc. This make eating fruit fun.

  • Green - Kiwi
  • Blue – Blueberries
  • Purple = grapes

Dipped Fruit: As an occasional treat, try serving some fruit with dips – chocolate, mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon, whipped cream… Your kids will love dipping the fruit pieces. If they are old enough you can give them toothpicks to help with dipping.

Banana Ice: take a few bananas and mash them in a bowl. Cover and place in the freezer for about 30 minutes or so. Remove from freezer and fluff with fork for a healthy, ice cream like treat.

Frozen Yogurt Cubes: Ina belnder, blend a variety of fruit and yogurt at high speed (be creative). Place in ice cube trays (or shaped ice cube trays). You can put a toothpick into the center once cubes begin to freeze, for easy handling. Freeze and enjoy healthy frozen yogurt.
